  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
  • 1/4 cup strawberry drink mix (powdered)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 cup strawberry sprinkles (optional for garnish) Can be omitted.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, measure out 9 cups of Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips and creamy peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Stir in the powdered strawberry drink mix into the melted mixture until well combined.
  • Pour the white chocolate-peanut butter-strawberry mix over the Rice Chex cereal. Gently toss with a spatula until all the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Place the coated cereal into a large Ziploc or a sealable food storage bag. Add the powdered sugar; seal the bag and shake until the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Pour the puppy chow into a bowl, sprinkle with optional strawberry sprinkles, and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover Puppy Chow in an air-tight container for up to a week. To freeze, place in a sealable bag for up to a month. Allow to thaw at room temperature before enjoying.
