- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 100 g of dark or milk chocolate
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of milk
- 200 g of butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- Melted chocolate to taste for decoration
Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease and flour a cake pan.
In a double boiler, melt the dark or milk chocolate with the butter, stirring until smooth.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until foamy and lighter in color; then mix in the melted chocolate mixture.
Add vanilla, cocoa, and baking powder, mixing gently. Gradually add sifted flour alternating with milk until you have a smooth batter.
Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean; let it cool before removing from the pan.
Cut the cake in half horizontally, fill with melted chocolate, and top with more melted chocolate along with any decorations like sprinkles, nuts, or fruit.
