Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain) Use plain Greek yogurt for the best results.
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Sifted for better incorporation.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or coconut sugar) Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For enhanced flavor.
  • 3 large eggs Room temperature eggs work best.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Balance sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder and salt, mixing until fully combined. Don’t worry about a few lumps; a smooth batter isn’t necessary.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan before slicing into squares. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Use good quality chocolate chips for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness if desired. Experiment with add-ins like nuts or coconut.
