Ingredients
  

Base Mixture

  • 1 cup quick oats Use instant oats for the best texture.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour You can substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup softened butter Should be at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed) Can substitute with granulated sugar or coconut sugar.

Filling

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries (or your favorite jam) Fresh raspberries provide the best flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine quick oats, all-purpose flour, softened butter, and brown sugar. Mix until crumbly.
  • Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a base.
  • Spread fresh raspberries or jam evenly over the crust.
  • Crumble the remaining oat mixture evenly on top of the raspberries.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden-brown on top.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream, lemonade, or iced tea. For a touch of elegance, add whipped cream or powdered sugar on top.
