Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated) Ensure the flour is heat-treated to avoid raw flour concerns.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • a pinch salt
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips or your choice of add-ins (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by heat-treating your flour. Spread it on a baking sheet and heat it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using a hand mixer until it’s light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring until the mixture is well combined and uniformly colored.
  • Gradually incorporate the heat-treated flour and a pinch of salt, mixing until you have a smooth dough texture.
  • Stir in the white chocolate chips or any add-ins of your choice.
  • Taste your dough and adjust the sweetness or add more color if desired!
  • For a firmer texture, refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  • Enjoy your homemade edible cookie dough!
