Ingredients
  

Truffle Base

  • 2 cups white chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Heat until simmering, do not boil.
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract For a classic peppermint flavor.

Coating

  • to taste Crushed peppermint candies or sprinkles For coating the truffles.

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  • Remove from heat, then add the white chocolate chips. Stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Mix in the peppermint extract to the melted chocolate mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Once cooled, place it in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours, or until it becomes firm enough to handle.

Shaping and Coating

  • Using a small cookie scoop or your hands, scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the chilled mixture.
  • Roll them into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Before the chocolate sets too much, roll each truffle in crushed peppermint candies or sprinkles.
  • Return the coated truffles to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.

Serving

  • Once chilled, the truffles are ready to be enjoyed! Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
