Easy Turtle Bars
Easy Turtle Bars are the perfect blend of sweet and salty. These tasty treats combine gooey caramel, crunchy pecans, and rich chocolate in a layer of soft cookie crust. - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
Gradually add in the flour and mix until a dough forms.
Press the dough evenly into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the pecan halves over the baked crust.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the pecans.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the caramel.
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is melted.
Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
