Ingredients
  

Casserole Base

  • 1 bag tater tots
  • 1 pound ground beef (or any Halal-friendly ground meat) Can be substituted with ground chicken or turkey.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables and cream of mushroom soup. Mix well until everything is coated and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  • In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, add the meat mixture as the base. Spread it out evenly. Then, sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Arrange the tater tots evenly over the cheese layer.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Take it out, let it cool for a few minutes, then dig in!

Notes

For meal prep, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To freeze, cool completely and freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes.
