  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness according to taste.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour Helps to firm up the filling.
  • 3 large eggs Must be at room temperature.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted Adds richness to the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lay your pre-made pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, sugar, flour, and eggs until smooth.
  • Melt the unsalted butter and stir it in along with the vanilla extract.
  • Gently fold in the sliced strawberries into the creamy mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  • Allow the pie to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Slice, garnish with toppings if desired, and enjoy.

Notes

This pie can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw overnight and serve chilled or microwave a slice for 10–15 seconds.
