  • Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage and slice it into thick 'steaks' about 1-inch wide.

  • Brush this mixture generously on both sides of each cabbage steak.

Cooking

  • Lay the seasoned cabbage steaks flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Roast them in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.

Final Touches

  • Once the edges are golden brown and caramelized, remove them from the oven.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with grated parmesan or nutritional yeast.
  • Plate them up and enjoy warm!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes. You can freeze cooked cabbage steaks for up to three months.
