Easy Million Dollar Spaghetti

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and season it with salt. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Pour in the marinara sauce and stir in the Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese.

Assembly and Baking

  • Layer half of the cooked spaghetti at the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Top with the ricotta cheese mixture, then add the remaining spaghetti, followed by the marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3 to 5 days, or freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
