For the Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Filling

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

For the Frosting

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir well.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.

Rolling and Filling

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a rectangle, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Spread the diced strawberries on top.

Baking

  • Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log.
  • With a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 equal pieces.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, and preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Frosting and Serving

  • While the rolls are baking, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl to create a smooth frosting.
  • Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly before drizzling the frosting over the top.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
