Ingredients
  

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb Halal ground beef Use halal ground beef for the filling.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (Halal)
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper, to taste

Dough and Cheese

  • 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

For Cooking

  • 1 cup beef broth (Halal) For the dipping sauce.

Optional Toppings

  • sliced green onions For garnish or topping.
  • sautéed mushrooms For garnish or topping.
  • jalapeños For garnish or topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the halal ground beef. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook until the mixture is evenly seasoned.
  • Lay out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and use a rolling pin to press the seams together, creating one sheet of dough.
  • On a greased baking pan, place half of the dough, allowing some to hang over the edges.
  • Spread the beef filling evenly over the dough and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Fold over the remaining dough and seal edges firmly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Serving

  • While the Easy French Dip Squares bake, heat the halal beef broth in a small pot and simmer for 5-10 minutes to make the dipping sauce.
  • Once baked, allow the squares to cool slightly before cutting into small pieces. Serve with the warm au jus on the side for dipping.

Notes

If you have leftovers, refrigerate them in an airtight container for up to three days. They freeze nicely for about a month. To reheat, place them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
