Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Lightly flour your work surface. Divide the dough into about 12 equal pieces and roll each piece into a rope about 6 inches long.
  • Tie each rope into a knot, tucking the ends under the bottom. Place them on a lined baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the knots.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden and cooked through.
  • Once out of the oven, brush with any remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute unsalted butter with a plant-based alternative. Keep an eye on the baking time to avoid overcooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
