  • 1 lb fish fillets (cod or haddock) Can substitute with tilapia or shrimp.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 large eggs

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For Baking

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In one bowl, mix flour with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • In a second bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined.
  • In a third bowl, pour in the breadcrumbs.
  • Cut fish fillets into stick-sized pieces.

Coating

  • Dip fish pieces in the flour mixture, then egg wash, and finally roll in breadcrumbs.

Baking

  • Arrange coated fish sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Spray lightly with olive oil or cooking spray.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.

Serving

  • Allow fish sticks to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve with your choice of dipping sauces like tartar sauce or lemon juice.

Notes

For perfect crispiness, ensure to spray oil before baking and avoid overcrowding the pan. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen.
