Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
  • Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, stirring until a thick dough forms.
  • Refrigerate the dough for about 15-30 minutes.

Baking

  • Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in powdered sugar until well coated.
  • Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
