Ingredients
  

For the crepe batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted halal margarine

For serving (optional)

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the milk and vegetable oil. Combine both mixtures until you have a smooth batter.
  • Let the batter rest for about 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place a non-stick pan or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with a little oil.
  • Once the pan is hot, pour about ¼ cup of the batter into the center. Quickly swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly.
  • Let it cook for 1–2 minutes until the edges look set and the bottom is lightly browned. Flip the crepe using a spatula and cook for another minute on the other side.
  • Continue cooking with the remaining batter, stacking the finished crepes on a plate.

Serving

  • Fill your crepes with your favorite toppings, roll them up, and dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate syrup. Enjoy your creation!
