  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 bag (28 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced green onions or vegetables like broccoli or peas for added nutrition

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, Alfredo sauce, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  • Spread the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  • Evenly place the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken mixture.
  • Top with the remaining cheese, covering the tater tots.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving, and sprinkle with sliced green onions if desired.

Notes

Ingredient Swaps: You can use leftover rotisserie chicken instead of cooking your own. Vegetarians can swap the chicken for sautéed mushrooms or a can of beans. Adjust Baking Time: If using a glass baking dish, reduce the baking time slightly. Don’t Overcrowd the Tater Tots: Ensure they are spaced out to avoid sogginess.
