  • Start by dicing the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, ensuring they are of similar sizes for even mixing.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the diced mozzarella, tomatoes, and chopped basil.
  • Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the mixture. If using balsamic vinegar for added flavor, add it at this point.
  • Gently toss the ingredients together and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Allow the dip to sit for about 5 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve immediately with your favorite dippers such as crispy bread, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetable sticks.

Notes

For a perfect dip, select fresh ingredients. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors. Experiment with herbs and dippers for varied flavors.
