  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or cubed)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (steamed or blanched)
  • 1 cup canned cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Reserve half for topping
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste Salt

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken and broccoli florets.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and broccoli mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  • Fold in half of the shredded cheddar cheese and reserve the rest for topping.
  • Spoon the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with olive oil and the remaining cheddar cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the casserole.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider using Greek yogurt instead of cream of chicken soup for a lighter version. Ensure chicken is thoroughly cooked. To avoid a dry casserole, do not over-bake.
