Ingredients

Chicken and BBQ Sauce

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (ensure it’s halal-friendly)

Garlic-Herb Butter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Slider Assembly

  • 12 pieces slider buns
  • optional sliced cheese for topping

Instructions

Cooking Chicken

  • Start by boiling the chicken breasts in a pot of water for about 15-20 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks.

Preparing BBQ Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the BBQ sauce until evenly coated.

Making Garlic-Herb Butter

  • In another bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, chives, salt, and pepper. Make sure all ingredients are well combined.

Toasting Slider Buns

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread the garlic-herb butter generously on each slider bun.
  • Toast them in the skillet until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes.

Assembling Sliders

  • On the bottom half of each toasted slider bun, place a generous scoop of the BBQ chicken mixture.
  • If desired, add a slice of cheese on top.

Final Assembly

  • Place the top half of the bun on each slider. Secure with a toothpick if needed.

Serving

  • Arrange the sliders on a serving platter and watch them disappear in a flash!

Notes

For a healthier twist, you can use turkey breast instead of chicken. Don’t rush the toasting of your buns; a little extra time can make them perfectly golden and crispy. Be mindful not to overcook the chicken; it should be moist and tender, not dry.
