Flatbread Base

  • 2 pieces flatbreads For the base

Toppings

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded Should be pre-cooked
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Make sure it’s Halal-compliant
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For a gooey topping
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced For added flavor
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the BBQ sauce until well coated.

Assembly

  • Place flatbreads on a baking sheet. Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over both flatbreads.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the chicken.
  • Evenly distribute sliced red onion on top of the cheese.

Baking

  • Pop the baking sheet into the preheated oven and let it bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Final Touches

  • Once out of the oven, sprinkle fresh cilantro on top.
  • Slice the flatbreads into manageable pieces and serve hot.

Notes

For variations, substitute chicken with grilled veggies or plant-based protein. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
