  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs Preferably
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten Important for binding

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease your baking sheet.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the beaten egg to the mixture to help bind the ingredients together.
  • Using your hands, roll the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs.
  • Place the meatballs on the greased baking sheet, ensuring space between them.

Baking

  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serving

  • Allow the meatballs to cool for a couple of minutes before serving them with your favorite sauce or on a bed of pasta.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator or freeze for longer storage.
