  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (lightly toasted for extra crunch)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)

  • to taste fresh thyme or rosemary (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and stretch it to about 1/8-inch thick.

  • Fold the pastry over the cheese, fully encasing it, and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Optionally brush the outside of the pastry with beaten egg.
  • Transfer the wrapped Brie onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm with crackers or bread.

Notes

Substitutions: Use walnuts or almonds instead of pecans. Try different jams for a unique twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
