Ingredients
  

For the Fritters

  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced Use your favorite variety.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • as needed cooking spray For air frying

Preparation

  • Begin by peeling, coring, and dicing the apples. Set them aside in a bowl.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk the milk and egg until well combined.
  • Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry mixture, stirring until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop batter into the air fryer basket in generous dollops, fitting about 4-5 fritters at a time.
  • Spray the tops of the fritters lightly with cooking spray. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the fritters and let them cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, air fry at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
