  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (about 2 ¼ teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup butter, melted

Cinnamon Filling

  • 1 cup sugar For mixing with cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon For sprinkling

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  • Add the melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually stir in the flour until a dough begins to form.
  • On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Cinnamon Filling

  • While the dough rises, mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Shaping and Final Rise

  • After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly, and roll it tightly.
  • Place the rolled loaf into a greased loaf pan, cover it again, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and indulge!
