Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 ounces smoked salmon (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon capers (optional for a briny kick)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill (chopped, or sub with chives)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Vegetable or water crackers (for serving)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Chop the smoked salmon, dill, and capers if using. Soften the cream cheese at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and blend it until fluffy using a hand mixer or a spatula.
  • Incorporate the chopped smoked salmon, capers, and fresh lemon juice into the cream cheese. Mix everything until well combined.
  • Mix in the chopped dill, salt, and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed and mix until fully combined.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help the flavors meld together.
  • Serve with vegetable or water crackers and enjoy!

Notes

For a different flavor twist, substitute smoked salmon with grilled shrimp or canned tuna. Allowing the dip to chill longer enhances the flavors. For a smoother texture, blend all ingredients thoroughly except the smoked salmon and fold it in at the end.
