Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
  • 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, or thyme) Feel free to mix herbs based on preference.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • optional grated Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley for garnish Adds an extra layer of flavor and presentation.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that the knots bake evenly and thoroughly.
  • Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough. Remove the biscuits and lay them on a clean surface. Flatten each biscuit slightly using your hands or a rolling pin.
  • Cut each biscuit into strips (approximately 1 to 1.5 inches wide). Twist each strip into a knot shape, pinching the ends to secure them.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well to blend the flavors.
  • Place the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the knots, ensuring they’re well-coated for maximum flavor.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for roughly 15-18 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and puffed up.
  • Once baked, remove them from the oven and, if desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese or fresh chopped parsley.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving to the family—enjoy the aroma rising from those amazing knots!

Notes

You can substitute with dairy-free butter alternatives if needed. Keep an eye on the knots towards the end of baking; it's easy to overdo them. Store leftovers in an airtight container; they stay fresh for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen for up to three months.
