Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping

For Layering

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup caramel or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish to form the crust. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped cream gently.
  • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust. Layer half of the chopped pecans and drizzle some caramel or maple syrup on top. Repeat with the remaining cream cheese mixture, then top with remaining pecans and drizzle more syrup.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Slice into squares and serve chilled, garnished with extra pecans and syrup if desired.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freezes beautifully; wrap slices tightly for best results.
