Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, flour, and vanilla until well combined.
  • Place your sliced peaches into the prepared pie crust, distributing them evenly.
  • Pour the custard mixture over the peaches, ensuring they are well covered.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the custard for a buttery finish.
  • Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until the custard has set and the top is golden brown.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a bit before slicing. Serve warm or chilled with a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

For flavor variation, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon into the custard mixture. If you prefer a thicker filling, you can increase the flour slightly. Serve with vanilla ice cream or a light summer salad for a refreshing balance.
