Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 large Potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream

Toppings and Seasonings

  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded Reserve 1½ cups for mixing in and additional for topping
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Seasonings of your choice (Italian herbs, paprika, etc.)
  • Crispy fried onions, for topping

Preparation

  • Start by cutting the steak into bite-sized pieces. Dice the potatoes and onion, and mince the garlic.
  • In a large bowl, combine the steak pieces with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you prefer. Toss until well coated.

Cooking

  • Layer the diced potatoes, followed by the seasoned steak, diced onions, and minced garlic into the crockpot.
  • Pour the beef broth and heavy cream over the mixed layers, ensuring everything is well distributed.
  • Cover the crockpot and set it to low heat. Let it cook for 7-8 hours, or until the steak is tender and the flavors have melded beautifully.
  • About 15-30 minutes before serving, stir in 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Serving

  • Once done, ladle into bowls, sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
