Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen meatballs (beef or turkey) Use your preferred type of meatballs.
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup hoisin sauce Can substitute with BBQ sauce for a different flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In your crockpot, combine the grape jelly and hoisin sauce. Stir well until both are mixed thoroughly.
  • Add the frozen meatballs to the crockpot mixture. Gently stir to coat the meatballs evenly with the sauce.
  • Cover with a lid and set the crockpot to low heat. Let the meatballs cook for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Once cooked, gently stir the meatballs and serve warm. Optionally, use toothpicks for easy serving at parties.

Notes

These meatballs are great as a standalone appetizer but can be paired with creamy mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, fresh fruit, or tortilla chips. For perfect results, monitor the cooking time as fresh meatballs may cook faster and consider simmering the sauce for thickness before adding the meatballs.
