  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and sear the beef chuck roast on all sides for about 3-4 minutes for extra flavor (optional).

Cooking

  • Place the beef in your crockpot. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, chipotle in adobo sauce, beef broth, cumin, oregano, and sprinkle salt and pepper over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for about 4-5 hours until the beef is tender.

Final Steps

  • Shred the beef directly in the crockpot using two forks, mixing it with the juices.
