  • 1 cup sweet and sour sauce
  • 1 cup bell peppers (sliced; use colors like red and yellow) For visual appeal.
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
  • ½ cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (ensure it's Halal-certified)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation

  • Place the frozen Halal meatballs directly into the crockpot.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  • Layer the meatballs, sliced bell peppers, and chopped onions in the crockpot, then add the pineapple chunks on top.
  • Pour the sweet and sour mixture over the layered ingredients, ensuring everything is coated.
  • Cook on low for about 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until heated through.
  • Gently stir to combine before serving over rice or noodles.

Notes

Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for a month. Reheat on the stove over low heat or in the microwave.
