  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional, for an extra kick
  • to taste toppings of your choice pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, etc. – ensure they are halal
  • to taste olive oil spray or a brush for applying

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut pita bread into chip-sized triangles or use mini pitas.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over each pita triangle.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
  • Dust with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  • Add your chosen toppings evenly across the cheese.
  • Place chips on a lined baking sheet and lightly oil. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Let the chips cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

To enhance your chips, avoid overloading with sauce or cheese and keep an eye on baking time to prevent burning. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
