Cook Time 3 minutes mins
Total Time 3 minutes mins
- 2 cups shredded cheese mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 2 cups breadcrumbs preferably seasoned
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil for frying
Prepare your cheese by shredding it if not already prepared, using a good mix of mozzarella for that gooey center.
Set up your breading station by placing flour in the first shallow bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs seasoned with salt and pepper in the third.
Grab a small handful of shredded cheese and mold it into a ball or small cube, repeating until all the cheese is shaped.
Quickly roll each cheese ball in the flour, dip it in the egg wash, then coat it with the breadcrumbs, making sure each bite is fully covered for perfect crunch.
Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat, and once hot, carefully add the cheese bites a few at a time, frying until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes.
Remove the bites with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil, then serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
