Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup Frank's RedHot original hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

For serving (optional)

  • celery sticks for dipping
  • carrot sticks for dipping
  • ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings thoroughly. Place them in a large bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Lay the seasoned wings in a single layer on the rack.

Cooking

  • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce and whisk together until combined.
  • Remove the wings from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce mixture over the wings and toss until they are thoroughly coated.

Serving

  • Plate the wings with optional celery and carrot sticks on the side. Serve with your choice of dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

For the best crispiness, make sure to pat the wings dry before seasoning. Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, and reheat in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
