Ingredients
  

Pizza Base

  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls For the base.

Filling

  • 1 pound ground chicken or beef (Halal-certified) Use your preference of meat.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix Ensure no pork additives.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with Mexican blend.

Toppings

  • 1 cup assorted toppings (diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced jalapeños, or avocado) Customize as per preference.
  • to taste sour cream or Greek yogurt For serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, brown your ground chicken or beef over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula.
  • Once it’s no longer pink, drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning along with water as directed on the package. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Unroll the crescent rolls onto a large baking sheet, forming a rectangle. Pinch the seams together to create a solid base.

Assembly and Baking

  • Spread the seasoned meat evenly over the crescent roll base, leaving a small border along the edges.
  • Top it with shredded cheese and other desired toppings.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Allow it to cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into squares and serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute with ground turkey or TVP. Make sure to not overcrowd the skillet to keep the crescent rolls crispy.
