Seasoning

Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Making the Roux

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until it turns a light golden color.

Creating the Cheese Sauce

  • Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid any lumps. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  • Lower the heat and add the shredded sharp cheddar and grated Parmesan. Stir until the cheeses are completely melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Combining Pasta and Sauce

  • Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until all pasta is coated evenly.
