  • 2 pounds chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 ounces)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Choose your preferred type of cheese.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by placing the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the chicken.
  • Place the block of cream cheese right on top of the seasoned chicken.
  • Carefully pour the chicken broth around the edges of the chicken mixture, avoiding the cream cheese.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Once the cooking time is up, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks and stir everything together.

Serving

  • Top with shredded cheese and optional green onions, and serve over rice, pasta, or tortillas.

Notes

Tips for perfection: Use frozen chicken for convenience, customize the seasoning to your taste, and don't skimp on the cheese!
