Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, heavy cream, and milk. Stir until well incorporated.
  • Add sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Whisk until smooth and sugar is dissolved.
  • Gently add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  • Pour the custard mixture into a greased shallow baking dish.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the center is set and a knife comes out clean.
  • Let it cool, then refrigerate until chilled.

Tip: Use fresh pumpkin puree for a more vibrant flavor! For dairy-free options, use coconut milk or almond milk as substitutes. Be cautious not to overmix after adding eggs.
