Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 2 cups small pasta shells Any small pasta shape can work.
  • 4 cups beef broth Use low-sodium broth if preferred.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, substitute with half-and-half.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or a blend of cheeses works well.
  • 1 small onion, diced Provides flavor for the base.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For added flavor, use fresh herbs if available.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to your taste.
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional, for color and flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Add diced onions and minced garlic, cooking until the beef is browned and the onions are soft.
  • Stir in the pasta shells along with the beef broth. Bring everything to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, remove the lid and stir in the heavy cream, shredded cheese, Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Stir until combined and the cheese is melted, creating a rich, creamy sauce.
  • If desired, sprinkle fresh parsley on top for a burst of color and flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat on low heat, adding a splash of water or extra cream.
