Ingredients

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs (or digestive biscuits)
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted

For the filling

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened (2 packages)
  • 1 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

For garnish

  • Nutmeg and cinnamon optional for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Make sure the base is even and compact. Chill the crust in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar until well combined. Add the vanilla extract, ground nutmeg, and ground cinnamon, mixing again until everything is well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture until no streaks remain.
  • Remove the crust from the fridge and pour the filling into the crust, spreading it evenly.
  • Cover the pie with plastic wrap and return it to the refrigerator. Allow it to chill for at least 4 hours, but overnight works even better.

Serving

  • Before serving, add additional whipped cream on top and sprinkle with extra nutmeg and cinnamon if desired.

Notes

For dairy-free option, use vegan cream cheese and whipped coconut cream. Best when chilled overnight.
