  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour To thicken the gravy.

  • to taste Salt and pepper To season.
  • for garnish Fresh parsley For decorative purpose.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture, stir well to combine, and cook for about 1-2 minutes until the flour is lightly golden.
  • Gradually pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer, and allow it to thicken.
  • Once thickened, reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste, allowing it to simmer for a few more minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, allow it to simmer longer after adding the broth. This gravy pairs beautifully with steaks, roasted chicken, and BBQ meats. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
