  • 2 pieces chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • for garnish Grated Parmesan cheese
  • for garnish Fresh basil leaves

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and basil pesto, stirring to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • Plate the creamy garlic pesto chicken and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Serve hot.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh ingredients. Pairs well with rice, mashed potatoes, or a green salad.
