  • 12 ounces cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, chopped
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

  • Start by boiling water in a large pot. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped chicken and season with salt and pepper. Sauté until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Sauté for about 3 minutes, then stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.
  • Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, tossing gently to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. Allow to heat through for 1-2 minutes, then taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your comforting bowl of creamy delight!

Notes

For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Cook broccoli to your liking and adjust the creaminess by substituting half of the heavy cream with chicken broth or half-and-half.
