Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or any shape you prefer)
  • 1 cup Boursin cheese (herbed cheese, any variety)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water for later. Drain the pasta and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
  • Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Allow it to simmer gently. Stir in the Boursin cheese until it melts and combines into a luscious sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.

Combining Ingredients

  • Add the drained pasta back into the pot and toss well to coat the noodles in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, consider adding a hint of roasted red pepper or throwing in fresh spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for added flavor. If the sauce thickens too much, add more reserved pasta water until it's perfectly creamy. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days.
