  • 8 oz pasta (your choice, but penne or fettuccine works well)
  • 1 lb beef sausage (ensure Halal compliance)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (choose your favorite color)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (for sautéing)

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the beef sausage and break it up using a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Toss in the sliced bell pepper and onion, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and combine with the cream.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Enjoy warm, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs if desired!

Notes

If beef sausage isn't your preference, consider using Halal turkey sausage or chicken sausage for a lighter meal. Prepare your ingredients before starting to cook for a seamless process. Taste the pasta a couple of minutes before the package’s recommended time to avoid overcooking.
