Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcbs (preferably whole grain)
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • as needed olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcbs, chopped onion, diced celery, dried cranberries, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper until evenly combined.
  • Gradually add the chicken or vegetable broth to the mixture and stir until it's slightly moist but holds its shape when formed.
  • Form small balls (about 1-2 inches in diameter) from the mixture and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Lightly drizzle olive oil over the top of each ball.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Let the balls cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a coarser texture, use larger breadcbs; for a finer texture, use traditional breadcbs. You can also experiment with different herbs or spices like sage and rosemary for added flavor. Allow the stuffing balls to cool for a few minutes after baking to maintain structure.
