Ingredients
  

For the Crostini

  • 1 piece French baguette – sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 cup Brie cheese – cut into thin slices
  • 3/4 cup cranberry sauce – store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or thyme – chopped (optional) Optional for garnish
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange your sliced baguette on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over each slice and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Place the baguette slices in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and top each slice with a slice of Brie cheese.
  • Return the crostini to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the Brie starts to melt.
  • Spoon about a tablespoon of cranberry sauce over each slice of melted Brie.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped rosemary or thyme if desired.
  • Serve immediately while warm and gooey.

Notes

For cheese substitutions, use Camembert for a twist. Ensure cranberry sauce isn't too runny to avoid sogginess. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
